A Woodsy Floyd Virginia Wedding - Julie & Josh

This wedding was so unique and memorable. It was a drizzly day, but it didn’t stop this couple! The fog really set the scene perfectly for their whimsical woodland wedding.

Josh & Julie are very big into the Celtic heritage and their personalities really shined through at their ceremony and reception at friend’s property in Floyd, Virginia. Their wedding colors were inspired by Josh’s family heritage and their clan tartan colors. Josh wore a traditional Celtic kilt and Julie had a bridal cape instead of a veil. It fit her vibe perfectly and was absolutely gorgeous!

They also have their own band - Kinnfolk - and they played a short concert for their guests. Everyone really enjoyed it!

This was a much anticipated wedding for me. I met Josh and Julie at several different bridal shows and had great conversations every time. When they finally nailed down a date they reached out and we were so excited! I felt like I was in a real fairy-tale all day long.

The newlyweds were kind enough to leave me a sweet review as the cherry on top of an awesome experience:

Kaytlin and Liz were great! Talented, experienced, easy to get along with. They were willing to work with us when the pandemic forced us to change our wedding date, which was a big relief. And the pictures of our day were gorgeous! We chose Kaytlin Lane Photography because we liked their bold colors and their skill at capturing emotion and telling stories with their photos. They did not disappoint. Would recommend them to anyone!
