A Plantation On Sunnybrook Wedding - Nakayla & Adam

We celebrated Nakayla & Adam’s big day at a Plantation On Sunnybrook in Roanoke, Virginia. This venue is absolutely breathtaking; the grounds and historic home are so polished and elegant with so many lovely details and special touches!

The colors and florals at this wedding were some of my all time favorites. The soft oranges and pinks in the bouquets were so romantic and and the perfect palatte to start the fall wedding season.

Nakayla was the sweetest bride and I adored her bridesmaids! They were so excited for her and attentive to the bride all day long. Nakayla had a first look with brother and father, both moments were so sweet and emotional. The bride & groom also shared a first look under the willow trees. I love capturing this moment!

The wedding ceremony was equal parts precious and fun! To mark their unity as a married couple, they each took a shot of tequila! It was so awesome! The arbor for the ceremony was beautiful and made for a picturesque backdrop. Afterwards we took some photos by the creek. We really had fun and they were up for anything - which we love!

Music was a big theme to their day, especially at the reception! Record -themed details were unique and reflected the couple’s personality in such a fun way. For the recepetion guestbook, guests signed a record. What a cool keepsake!

I actually got to eat at this wedding (since the groom is gluten free like me!). The gluten free cake and mini cheesecakes by Blush Baking Co was AMAZING! They put on a great party - everyone danced and sang all night and it never let up. We ended the night by sending off the new Mr. & Mrs. with a sparkler exit.
