A Downtown Roanoke Penthouse Wedding

Melinda and Logan are so sweet. They got married at The Penthouse in Downtown Roanoke. If you haven’t been to the Penthouse - you need to visit! It’s in the center of the city and you can see the best views, making it a great spot for a Roanoke wedding.

These two had to postpone their wedding a couple times due to the pandemic, but they finally were able to celebrate with family and friends! Melinda and her girls got ready at The Hotel Roanoke nearby. Their room was filled with drinks, snacks and so much laughter. The guys got ready at the venue and their getting ready did not disappoint. Logan had monogrammed robes made for all the guys (a little joke that was too fun!).

Melinda and Logan wanted to do a first look and they even included their dog - you know this made my day! I always love when the dogs join in! We got to walk around downtown and get some portraits done before the ceremony. The ceremony was indoors at The Penthouse followed by an outdoor reception. Everyone loved the atmosphere of being rooftop at night - it really sets the tone for the evening! A live painter pained their reception entrance and this was amazing to watch the progress! They ended with a glowstick exit and the crowd loved it!

“Kaytlin was amazing! We had to reschedule several times from our original date in 2020 and she was so accommodating and helpful as we planned (and then re-planned) our day. Both she and her second shooter were so nice and fun to have around throughout the day, but kept us on track and made sure we got all the pictures we wanted/needed. I'm so glad they were both a part of our day! And the pictures are wonderful - everyone loves them. All the portraits and group shots are perfect, but they also did such a great job capturing how much fun the dance floor was with all the candids! I would recommend Kaytlin to any of my friends looking for a wedding photographer in the area.”
