Blacksburg Family Spring Session

Spring sessions are such a joy with all the greens popping out and signs of new life after winter is over are some of my favorite sessions - and the weather is usually pretty nice here in Southwest Virginia!

I love this family! They travel from West Virginia to meet me a few times every year and I get the honor of documenting the season of life they’re in — and it’s the absolute best! Building relationships with my clients and seeing them grow through different seasons and milestones of life is the biggest perk of my job!

The girls are SO cute and sweet and just FULL of energy. I love chasing them around and capturing all the joy they bring Hannah & Frank. The watermelon shots are some of my favorite from this session! So sweet!

My biggest tip for a successful family photo session: let the kids be kids! Embrace the current season your family is in and the state of relationships in your family to get real, authentic images you can look back on with a smile.

Another tip: Let mom & dad get a few couple shots - even though you’re parents now take a few shots just for yourselves!
