10 Beautiful Central VA Wedding Venues (for 2024!)

As a Virginia Wedding Photographer, I see a lot of venues and often get asked for recommendations for places to host weddings! Here are some of my favorite beautiful wedding venues in Central Virginia. From barn wedding venues to rooftops to ballrooms, Virginia has it all!

House Mountain Inn

House Mountain Inn is a gorgeous multi use venue with two different spaces - one being House Mountain Inn and the other being Irvine Estate. If you’re wanting panoramic mountain views this is the place for you! The covered ceremony spot looks over the mountains and is honestly breathtaking. There are plenty of rain plan options indoors as well. The two reception spaces are both beautiful with lodge vibes and bars for the guests. There is a gorgeous outdoor fireplace/patio area with lots of stone overlooking the mountains as well.

Barn At Edgewood

The Barn at Edgewood in Charlottesville Virginia is a beautiful venue! My favorite thing about this venue is the giant oak tree up on the hill. It is a gorgeous ceremony spot for sure. You can see the mountains and they have some beautiful sunsets up there as well. The indoor/outdoor space for the reception and cocktail hour is so nice for guests. Inside the reception space there is a big stone fireplace as well.

The Seclusion

The Seclusion is an amazing venue located in Lexington Virginia. When I say this venue is one of a kind - it is! The big white luxurious barn is just perfection. Everything is new and updated. The bridal suite is cozy with a balcony that overlooks the reception space. The ceremony space has the most beautiful mountain views (catch it in the fall - perfection!) The aisle and ceremony space have stone that contrast against the mountains. There are little fire pits and outdoor seating as well as a covered patio perfect for cocktail hour. The inside has a big stone fireplace as the main focal point. It is large, tall ceilings, great furnishings and ready for you to make it yours!

Glass Hill Venue

Glass Hill Venue is located in Goode, Virginia. The entire venue is absolutely gorgeous. The bridal suite is beautiful and has everything you could want. The ceremony space has breathtaking views that will keep the guests taking pictures all night long. The sunsets at Glass Hill are one of a kind. The sun hits on those mountains and it’s just amazing. Inside is a big stone fireplace with high beam ceilings. It’s a perfect reception space or rain plan if needed!

Big Spring Farm

Big Spring Farm is another beautiful venue located right off 81 in Lexington Virginia. Willow trees are all over the property and cover the main ceremony space. The big pond is a beautiful backdrop as well as the top of the venue property which has a gorgeous golden hour sunset right on the mountain tops! The bridal house is gorgeous - all white and wood accents with so much room and plenty of backdrop options. The barn is spacious and has such high ceilings!

Sky Ridge Farm

Sky Ridge Farm in Waynesboro Virginia is a great barn wedding venue option! The getting ready spaces are spacious - which is hard to find! Everything is one location here so easy for guests to get around. And of course, they have the beautiful mountain views! The reception area offers indoor/outdoor movement for guests which is always a plus!

Red August Farm

The Red August Farm is also located in Waynesboro Virginia. This is one of my all time favorite Virginia barn wedding venues. There is a long driveway lined with trees leading up to the large red barn. The downstairs of the barn is a perfect outdoor bar area for cocktails and the upstairs of the barn is a gorgeous space for the reception - those high ceilings are BEAUTIFUL! The outdoor ceremony space has the most stunning fireplace as the focal point that you can decorate for any season. The mountain views are the perfect backdrop here!

Shenandoah Lodge

Shenandoah Lodge in Standardsville Virginia is right outside of Charlottesville. It is very much a elevated, country club vibe. They have a beautiful area right by the lake for ceremonies. The ballroom indoors is a great option for a rain plan. The food is delicious with lots of options! The patio with twinkle lights makes for great night time photos as well!

West Manor Estate

West Manor Estate is one our favorite venues! It’s located in Forest Virginia. When you pull up to the estate - it definitely makes a statement! The circle driveway in front of a gorgeous brick estate - beautiful. This venue has so many amazing places around the property. The bridal suite has a perfect room for getting ready and so many well decorated rooms for portraits. The indoor ballroom for dinner is beautiful and spacious. The atrium for ceremonies is so unique and pretty. We’ve seen daytime and night time ceremonies in there - whatever you choose it’ll be beautiful! Aside from the front of the venue photographing well, the back of the venue has a greenery filled courtyard and gazebo for outdoor ceremonies as well. The atrium is also a perfect spot for dancing the night away!

Brix & Columns

Brix & Columns is a vineyard wedding venue in Charlottesville Virginia. I love a good Virginia winery wedding! They have several different spaces at this venue making for great diversity in your album. The big estate house is beautiful for portraits and that staircase is so fun to use! The sunsets are gorgeous here especially with the vineyard leaves. The ballroom is spacious with plenty of room for dancing as well as white so a clean classic space!
