What To Use For Your Wedding Detail Photos
A Wedding Photographer’s Expert Tips On What to Pack In Your Detail Bag For Your Wedding Day
You’ve spent a lot of time planning out the details of your wedding day - let’s work together to make sure no special piece of your day goes unnoticed! Beautiful flay lays and detail shots are so important to capturing the essence of your big day. I encourage my couples to think through what they may want to include in these wedding detail photos - and have all items prepared in a box or bag for when the photographers arrive! This way they don’t have to hunt for all their details and also saves time and stress.
Here are some of my suggestions on what what brides (and grooms) should pack together for romantic wedding detail pictures that help tell the story of the big day.
Extra Floral Stems: Definitely make sure to note ask your florist for extra styling blooms because that is the BEST way to style details and adds great color and texture to an artful wedding flat lay.
Extra Wedding Invitations: please remember to include and ceremony programs, wedding invitations (& envelopes!) so we have these artfully documented.
Don’t Forget The Rings And Ring Boxes: make sure you have ALL the rings! have ring boxes too? perfect! these make such memorable pictures.
Bridal Accessories Such As Veil & Wedding Shoes: veils or alternative headpieces and wedding shoes step into the spotlight and inspire so many creative wedding detail pictures.
Sentimental Items: a locket with a loved one’s photo? an antique watch from grandpa? your something borrowed? Make sure these make it into your detail photos!
Signature Items: could be anything like your favorite perfume or cologne, your vow booklets, a special hanger for your wedding gown, or any special jewelry would make stunning additions to your wedding day photos.
Communicate The Vibe And Color Scheme: let the wedding photographer know the color scheme or any particular wants or shot list ideas before hand so we can be sure to have what we need!
